Background

Patty Purpur graduated from Stanford in 1989 and began her career as a personal fitness trainer after the birth of her two children.  In 1997 she incorporated TimeOut Services and grew the company to over 100 employees and over 5 million in sales by 2008.

 

Patty and her team were instrumental in designing the original fitness centers and wellness programs for Google, Cisco, Yahoo!, Safeway and KLA-Tencor.   In 2009, Patty sold her trademarked Community BootCamp program and the TimeOut Services' corporate fitness division to Plus One Holdings of New York.  Today, TimeOut Services specializes in Corporate Wellness Services including consulting, classes, workshops and retreats. 

 

Patty is now the Director of the Stanford Health Improvement Program.
